About Sarah

Hi there!

My name is Sarah, and I’ve been a registered Counselling Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa for the last 15 years.

For the past two years, I have focused my work on providing psychotherapy in my private practice in Israel. During this time, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients from diverse backgrounds, including native Israelis and Olim.

Living in Israel and making Aliyah—whether recently or many years ago—plays a significant role in one's identity, psychological development, and mental health. This dynamic is something I’m particularly passionate about, and I am grateful for the opportunity to support clients navigating these complex and deeply personal experiences.

Before moving to Israel, I spent 13 years practicing as a Psychologist in South Africa. My experience includes providing both in-person and online therapy for adults and parents in private practice, as well as working in the non-profit and employee wellness sectors. I also had the honor of lecturing and supervising psychology students at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

I believe in continual learning, which is why I completed my Ph.D. in 2022. My research focused on the experiences of new fathers, and I have since published several articles on parenting in South African and international psychology journals. Additionally, I enjoy communicating psychological ideas through storytelling, which led me to publish a children's book.

As a therapist, I deeply value the transformative power of therapy. Having personally experienced its benefits, I know firsthand how therapy can shape our lives, relationships, and personal growth. It’s been instrumental in helping me create meaningful, rewarding connections. This is why I’m so passionate about guiding others through their own therapeutic journey.

Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to assist many clients through various phases of their lives. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. Together, we’ll explore who you are and what you need from therapy. I draw primarily on psychodynamic therapy, but I may also integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) when beneficial for your individual needs. I understand that therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and I tailor my approach to suit each client’s unique circumstances.
